Project Manager - Engineering

Summary:

The Project Manager Global Engineering is expected to manage new hardware product development projects from industrial design through prototype and production release.  This proactive PM will work with Development Manager, Program Management, Engineering and Operations to ensure projects are progressing to schedule and will provide regular update to stakeholders. Monitor the project from initiation through to delivery including planning and directing schedules, development phase reviews, monitoring budget/spending and critical operational metrics. Collaborative development of hardware product with internal SME and external design development and manufacturing partners is key expectation of this role.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage hardware engineering activities on assigned projects

• Taking a leadership role in driving the project to meet its functionality, cost, timescale, and quality objectives

• Develop and maintain key project management documentation such as project management plan, timelines & detail Project schedules, budgets, risks and issues and other require matrices

• Lead projects working with Development manager and cross functional engineering managers and with external teams engage in contractual product design, development & manufacturing

• Manage the NPI handover of engineering project with the Development Manager

• Ensure project related engineering change orders are processed and released

• Organize timely orders of prototypes / submission materials and ensure samples comply with engineering specifications, variances are addressed

• Lead and manage conceptual reviews, conduct product design reviews ensuring that DFMA principles are applied and adhered such that selected suppliers will be able to supply products and components at optimal BOM cost, product quality and production supply lead times

What We’re Looking For:

• A self-starter with innovation, integrity and attention to details

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving high-pressure environment

• Direct experience managing project with engineering team in global locations a plus

• 3 years of manufacturing or product design experience

• Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline (preferably Mechatronics, OR Mechanical /Electronics with relevant experience).

• Project Management qualification highly desirable, Agile, PMP or equivalent

• Strong PC skills (Ms Project, Visio, MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel & use of ERP systems).

• Gaming or relevant regulated industry experience desirable.

• Bachelor’s Degree
